Tryouts for the 2024 BMS Chargers Football Team will take place on the following dates and times. 

• July 24th  through July 26th  7:00am-8:30am

Alternate Tryouts : August 7th through August 9th. 4:00pm-6:00pm

Alternate Tryouts will be provided for students who were unable to attend the initial tryouts because they were out of town or unavailable during the initial tryout dates. We encourage all students to attend the initial tryout days.

Note: Tryouts are for 7th and 8th grade students only

Location: Blythewood Middle School Football Field

 

• The student athlete must have the following or they will NOT participate:

• Richland 2 Athletic Packet (current physical from April 1st, 2024 to the present, Richland 2 Health History Form). ( physicals must be dated from April 1st, 2024 to present)

• You do NOT need to include the Birth Certificate or $50 participation fee (this fee will be assessed if the student athlete is chosen for the team).

• Tryouts are closed to the public. We respectfully ask that parents not come on the field to watch, but you may observe from your vehicle.

Summer conditioning for prospective football players will begin on July 1st. The conditioning is for students who are rising seventh and eighth graders interested in trying out for the 2024 Blythewood Middle School Football Team. The dates and times for summer conditioning are listed below as well as the dates and times for tryouts.

• July 1st  through July 3rd  7:00am-8:30am

• July 8th through July 19th 7:00am-8:30am

• Tentative dates for Tryouts are July 24-26 Time: TBD

• The student athlete must have the following or they will NOT participate:

• Summer Conditioning is optional but it is a good time to get in shape for the upcoming season. 

• There will NOT be any equipment worn during the summer.

• There will be football related drills conducted and conditioning.

• This is an opportunity for the coaching staff to evaluate players who may be coming to tryouts July 24th-26th

• Summer Conditioning is NOT tryouts. Just because you attend in the summer does not guarantee you a spot on the team in the fall and vice versa.
